The given table illustrates the number of short-term migrant employer in four distinctive regions between 2003 and 2006 and corresponding worker-to--population ration in 2006.
Overview, most people from other continents had a tendency to migrate provisionally to the United States with the highest figure, as opposed to New Zealand which is the least-chosen countries for migrant. However, the ratio of these workers compared to the population of New Zealand was ranked as the leading position, while the figure for United States was the lowest.
In terms of the number of provisional migrant employers in the United States was recorded at 577,000 in 2003, which observed a minimal growth to 678,000 after 3 years. For the number of immigrant in United Kingdom, its figure witnessed a double growth in the period of 3 years, at 266,000. Turning to the amount of workers gone abroad to Australia and New Zealand was accounted for 152,000 and 65,000 and the figure of Australia in 2006 was approximately two times higher than the figure of New Zealand.
Concerning the comparison between migrant workers and the total population, in first place was New Zealand, with 21.1 workers per 1000 people, approximately double the figure for Australia. Considerably lower were the ratios for the UK and the US, both standing below 5.
