The question is: The graph below shows the way in which men and women used the Internet in Canada in 2000. Summarise the information making comparisons where relevant.
The bar chart given makes a comparison among Canadian males and females, of 15-24 age group, in terms of six different usages of the Internet in only 2000.
While Internet usaged in email had the highest level, Research and education was the least percentage. Overall, women were ahead than men in using for emailing and online shoping, but all other activities makes superseded women.
As can be seen from the graph, the maximum number of men used the Internet for Goods and services, this percentage was 71%. The second most popular use among maes was for sending emails, it stood at 70%, a slightly higher percentage of women (71%) used Internet for emails. However, 61% of women used Internet for goods and sevices which was a significantly lesser percentage.
Turning to the remaining datasets, Chat rooms were almost equally popular among both genders with 50% males and 48% females respectively. One in ten women chose the Internet than man for online shoping. In contrast, Games were slightly more popular among males, which was 6% higher than females. Research and education was not as popular as others, 9% women and 13% men used the Internet for this purpose.
