Some people believe that the development of artificial intelligence will lead to widespread unemployment. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In this modern life, artificial intelligence has become one of the important parts. Therefore, some people think that humans will replace humans in the future and cause unemployment. From my perspective, I agree with the statement and this essay will support my features.
In this contemporary life, there are many technological devices such as mobile phones, tablets or computers. It helps people to communicate with others and especially with older people to keep in touch with their family. Admittedly, there are some arguments in favor of artificial intelligence working many jobs in this life. First, the development of intelligence is believed to equalize products among factors regardless of their background. This development support, presumably, tends not only to increase the overall consumption rate of people but also to mitigate their feeling of tiredness when working for a long time, which promotes an egalitarian society. Second, development of artificial intelligence would result in a higher supply of highly qualified workers, which benefits society in the long run. In fact, it is acknowledged that knowledgeable and skilled human capital is imperative to foster economic growth and technological development in any nation.
Besides that, the resultant problems would be far more significant than the minor benefits once development of artificial intelligence. First, the development of modern life with artificial intelligence would likely correspond with financial and unemployment. Generating no income from working, people would become over-reliance on the state budget for funding, meaning that there would be less input to develop other important areas such as healthcare systems and transport infrastructure. Second, development of artificial intelligence would tempt many young people including those who are not academically inclined or show no interest in working, thereby adding great burdens for staff and companies and potentially wasting time that these young people could have spent on suitable career paths. Example, in this day, artificial intelligence can replace humans for teaching in a university or high school and especially they can have a bigger memory than people can do. It, instead, would be a more working viable option if the resources were focused on supporting the talented people and active people.
In conclusion, despite the long term of technological and especially artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, it has a negative impact on human’s jobs. From my point of view, government and netizens should consider to use artificial intelligence in a right place and situation, it’s can be reliant in the future.
