Some people think they should keep all the money they earn without having to pay taxes to the government. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In this contemporary life, there are many people who believe they should save all the money they earn without paying taxes to the authorities. From my perspective, this argument has advantages for living conditions and helps people save money for their life. However, it has more drawbacks than advantages such as the financial status of a country and this essay will examine and support my opinion.
Admittedly, there are some arguments in favor of people not having to pay taxes because this is their own money. First, government subsidies for salaries are believed to equalize working opportunities among people regardless of their family background. This financial support presumably tends not only to increase the overall amount of money rate of lower-income people but also to mitigate their feeling of inferiority, which promotes an egalitarian society. Second, not paying taxes and keep all the money would result in a higher supply of highly qualified workers, which benefits society in the long run. In fact, it is acknowledged that knowledgeable and skilled human capital is imperative to foster economic growth and technology in any nation
On the other hand, the resultant problems would be far more significant than the minor benefits once people keep all their money and not having to pay taxes. First, offering all people keep their own money but don’t pay taxes would likely correspond with a tremendous financial strain on a country. Generating no income from taxes, the government could become over-reliant on the state budget for funding to develop the country, meaning that there would be less input to develop other important areas such as healthcare systems and transport infrastructure. Second, not having to pay taxes would tempt many young people including those who are not aware of taxes inclined or show no interest in developed countries, thereby adding great burden for government and state and potentially wasting time that these young people could spend their money for taxes and living standards. It, instead, would be a financially viable option if the resources were focused on supporting less privileged yet gifted people.
In conclusion, despite the benefits of keeping all the money that people earn, it helps them to live better. However, it means that the financial strain on a country to support other areas and developing countries.
