The passage explains the main characteristics of Asthma disease and its etiology and underlying process. However, the lecturer provides some new evidences that may undermine the passage in some aspects.

First, The lecturer asserts that the air tube in asthmatic patients will not return to a completely normal state after each attack. In fact, the air tubes of the patients experience some permanent narrowing in spite of transient nature of attacks. He refutes the claim in the passage that the disease has a temporal nature and airways return to normal state after the symptoms are relieved.
