The reading and the lecture are both about Rembrand, which is about genuine of his work. The author of the reading believes that there are some reasons that prove this art work is not himself. The lecture casts doubt on the claims made in the article. She thinks that all reasons in the reading is true, but in fact, they find by the examination that it is indeed for Rembrandt.
First of all, the author claims that women in the painting wearing a fur collar with a ahite lien cap, and these two things are inconsistent. This point is challenged by the lecture. She says that this fur collar added by someone.
Secondly, the authors states that he was a expert in painting in light and shadow. He argues in this painting there is not any trace for this. This argument is rebutted by the lecture. She suggests probably somebody removed original light from this painting. She elaborates on this mentioning that original painting has light and shadow and it is realisitic.
Finally, the author mentions that this painting painted on the several pieces of wood glued together. So it is not realisitic. The lecture, on the other hand, feels that original painting was painted on one piece of wood and other pieces added when fur color added to painting.
