The reading and the speaker discussing about ability of Pterosaurs flying but in vary contrast way, here lecturer refutes the all points made in the reading passage.
Firstly, reading passage says that it is not warm blood animals so it does not able to produce maximum metabolism because of that it could not produce more energy to flap the wings. But, The lecture argues this statement by saying that it's fossil records reveals that it had air like covering which indicates that it is warm blood animals. And further, speakers states that it was capable generate high energy from basal metabolic rate.
Secondly, reading claims that it is larger in size animal and heavy weight, in order to fly, fly animal should be very light weighted and moreover, because of these disadvantages it might not be flapped the wing for longer time. Again, the speaker refutes this point by stating that the anatomical structure which helps the Pterosaurs to reduce the weight because it has the hallow like bone structure rather than solid which might aid this animal to reduces the weight and in turn they might be flight.
Thirdly, reading explains that all birds are using the limbs to run and jump for the take off from the ground. Further, Pterosaurs are not has that muscle power to take off from the ground. Still, the professor opposes this point by stating that it has four limbs instead of two limbs and muscles are so powerful. It might be used that features for the run and jump for the take off from ground.
