The article states that discovery of a 70-million-year- old fossil of T.rex is so exciting for scientists, since breaking T.rex's leg bone shows remains of blood vessels, red blood cells, and collagen. In contrast, the professor repudiates these findings.
Firstly, according to the reading finding soft substances inside the channels of the bone, is an evidence of existing of blood vessels of T.rex. On the other hand, the lecturer explains that soft substances are not related to blood vessels and probably they are some remains of bacteria, which lived inside fossils.
In addition, the author of the passage points out that some red spheres have found in the fossil which seems that they are remains of red blood cells. However, the speaker mentions that spheres are some organisms that have different origins and their redish color shows that they are some red minerals.
Finally, the article makes it clear that testing on the fossil bone of T.rex showed it has collagen, which found in living bone tissues. On the contrary, the professor indicates that collagen does not last long in fossils. Indeed, collagen lasts in animal fossils up to 100 thousand years and it is impossible that it lasts 70 million years in T.rex fossil. Therefore, he specifies that it is likely that collagen belongs to the skin of some researchers, who carried the fossil.
