Overall, netball was the most popular game among girls; meanwhile, soccer was enjoyed by majority boys.
Girls loved netball and swimming, which attracted 25% and approximate 22% of girls respectively. Besides, other sports, like tennis and basketball also appealed about 7% and 6% of the whole girl group respectively. By contrast, cricket was the least popular sport among girls, which was merely played by 1% of New Zealand girls. However, almost 10% of boys participated in cricket. The participation of atheletics, marital arts and soccer were mediocre.
Boys demonstrated enormous priference on soccer with one quarter of boys enjoyed it. Also, various other sports were participated by boys, which appealed almost 20% of New Zealand boys. Swimming, basketball and marital arts were the sports that boys showed immense ethusiasm.
