The map shows the proposal of two prospective sites for building a new shopping mall in Brandfield.
There are some similarities of both proposed sites (S1 and S2). Both places are surrounded by the main road, the railway, and the city centre. Moreover, they are almost equally close from the golf course and park area on the west. However, there are some differences of both locations.
S1 is easily accessible from the housing estate nearby on the north side. Furthermore, there is a river on the east which can be worth a view. However, this site is too far from the industrial estate area on the south east.
On the other hand, S2 is very close from the industrial estate on the south side. However, the surrounding lacks of the river view, and the site is too far to be reached from the residential area.
In summary, S1 is an ideal site for the shopping mall if the main customers will be people from the residential area. However, S2 will be the alternative choice for targeting customers from the industrial site. In addition, S1 will be expected to have a better view.
