The line graph illustrates information about changes in the price of three groups different food product from 1978 to 2009. Generally speaking, the line graph witnessed an upward trend over the period of time. However, the price change of fresh fruits and vegetables noticed a quick growth in the period between 1978 and 2009.
In particular, all the line graph had same starting figure in 1979, at 60. Over the period, the consumer price index rose steadily from 60 at 1979 to about 200 in 2009. The carbonated drinks had the least increase over the time, at over 150 at 2009. This was followed by the price of sugar and sweets, it gradually increased between 1979 and 2009, at 60 and 200 respectively. The number of fresh fruits and vegetables showed a quickly rise during the period of 40 years. It had to start at 60 in 1979, after 40 years, the number of the price of fresh fruits and vegetables had a top in the line graph, at 330 in 2009.
