The figures for Nuclear, Solar or Wind and Hydropower was under 5 quadrillion. By 2008, expenditure of energy came from Petrol and Oil had risen to over 40 quadrillion, while the figures for Natural Gas and Coal had increased gradually to 22 quadrillion. Consumption of energy in Nuclear, Solar or wind and Hydropower sector had remained at a similar level.
From 2008 to 2030, Petrol and Oil sector is expected to see a quick jump in energy consumption, at over 45 quadrillion in 2030. Similarly, energy expenditure in Coal sector is going to experience a rapid rise to over 25 quadrillion, while the figures for the other 4 sectors remain stable.
