We are provided with two graphs, one of them a table, shows how commuting to work with different forms of transport in Houston, Texas. The other one, bar chart, illustrates the amount of CO2 which is emitted from the means of transport showed in Table.
Looking in more detail, it can be seen that the most common modes of transport is car which is driven alone, at 48 percent. The second most popular modes of transport, referred public transport, are train and bus, 37 percent. On the other hand, cyclists and walkers allocate the least percentage to themselves by 15 percent. By comparison, the highest average age of people who travel by pubic transport is 47 years old. However, 39 percent of travelers include the lowest average age related to those who cycle or walk.
As is presented in the bar, cars which are driven alone cause the most pollution due to producing carbon dioxides about 0.032 kilograms, while cars with passengers produce approximately 0.08 kilograms of CO2. Interestingly, just 0.01 kilograms is emitted from public transport. Not surprisingly, cyclists and pedestrians produce no pollution.
Overall, we can conclude that although cars with drivers only are the most popular means of transport to work, they cause more pollution than all the rest.
