The graph illustrates the population figures of India and China since 2000 and predicted population rise until 2050. In overall, the graph has an upward trend and India has the highest figure comparing to China, which is 1,600 billion.
China population was above 1,200 billion in 2000 while India population was only 1,000 which is the lowest point in the graph. Both figures began to rise moderately although India data rose slightly faster. In addition, both of the figures were predicted to continue rising at the same speed for almost three decades. They were expected to surpass 1,400 in 2030. Then at this point, differences will appear as China figures is ancitipated to fall slightly throughout the rest of 20 years and finally reach 1,400 in 2050. In contrast, India is predicted to rise with an unchanged speed and soon will leave a far distance to China as it’s expected to reach the peak of the graph which is 1,600 billion in 2050.
