The pictures show how tomato ketchup is made.
The pictures illustrate the process by which tomato ketchup is made. There are 15 stages, from picking the tomatoes on a farm, to enjoying meals with ketchup.
The first step is that farmers pick the tomatoes and put them into buskets. On the farm once the tomatoes have been sorted by quality, they are packed into special boxes in order to be sent to factories by lorry. At this production stage, all seeds, stalks and skins are removed from every tomato, so that it can be put into a large container. Next, after the tomatoes have been crushed, it is time to add sugar, vinegar and salt. At this point, all ingredieants must be mixed and boiled. Subsequently, having been left for two hours to get cold, ketchup is then ready to be bottled.
The next step is that after being labelled, every bottle of ketchup is checked by a quality control service. Following this, the bottles of ketchup, being packed into boxes, are delivered to supermarkets, where they can be sold. Finally, you can buy ketchup and put it on food, for instance hamburger and fries, to add extra flavour.
