IELTS wrting task 1 test 1 cambridge ielts 8
Two chart below reflect the degradation cause in worldwide and three regions in 1990s. A pie chart show the cause's percentage in global and a different table will also show the percent of land was degraded and degarded by some main problem in North America, Europe, Oceania.
As can be seen from the pie chart, there are a lot of reason but three popular reasons were deforestation, over-cultivation and over-grazing, all took about 30 percents and only 7 percents for all different reasons. For three regions, the table said the most serious degradation is Europe with 23 percent of land degrading and the least is North America with only 5 percents. In Europe, most degraded land is caused by deforestation with nearly 10 percents and about a half of it is caused by over-grazing and the other by over-cultivation. In Oceania, land degradation is caused by over-grazing with 11.3 percents over 13 percent of land degrading. In North America, the most cause are deforestation and over-grazing. In conclusion, pair of chart describes perfectly the degradation problem not only in worldwide but also in some regions.
