Some parent offer their school-age children money for each high grade (mark) they get in school Do you think this is a good idea?
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Getting a high academic performance is always the goal for school-age children to pursue. Some parent offer their children money for the good grade in the school, while other parent may not do so. In my opinion, it is a good idea to offer money to children who perform well in the school.
First of all, children like to be praised and giving them scholarship is one of the way to express the commendation. It is obvious that people all want to get some return when they do put their efforts on works or academics. Needless to say that children also need feedback for their hard-working on their schoolwork. Children who get good grades must devote themselves to their lessons so that they desired the rewards and money can be one of the rewards.
Another point is that by offering children money when they get good grades, children will prepare their schoolwork well spontaneously. Studying is a long and boring process, some children may become lazy to do their schoolwork or disturbed by other things. However, the offer of the scholarship will provide a motivation for children to study automatic in order to get the reward which means that parent need not to spend time on asking their children study or overseeing their schoolwork.
Last but not least, providing money for high grades can improve the concept of managing financial for children. It is essential for school-age children to have the ability to save money or control their spend. Parent can teach their children how to manage their scholarship and also inspire their children to keep or deposit their own money.
In conclusion, I totally agree that it is a good idea for parents to offer money to their school-age children for their high grade. This behavior can briefly express their commendation for their children's hardworking. Furthermore, it saves the time for parent to spend on their children's schoolwork.
