Both reading and lecture talk about the discovery of a T rex leg bone which go back to seventy milion years ago and still has some actual animal tissues. The reading article descripes what these tissue might be. While, the lecture has a lot of skypticals about these informations in the reading passage.
First, the reading supports the idea of presence of remains of real blood vessels. The bone has many small branching channels that correspond to location of blood vessels with the presence of a soft, flexible organic substance. Yet, the professor holds another opinion. He says that these remain not necessary remains of blood vessels. It is mostly a residue left by bacteria colonized the holes and channels.
Second, the reading says about the presences of remains of red blood cells. These spheres under examination showed presence of iron, which is the main content of red blood cells and give it the reddish color. However, the professor has a different opinion. He says that reaserchers found the same spheres in other fossils of animals that do not have red blood cells. And the dark color is a result of reddish minerals.
Third, the reading approves the presence of living collagen. Collagen is the main fibrous protein of the living bone tissue. On the other hand, the professor refuses this idea. He says that as it is know the collagen can not live more than hundred thousand years. Finding collagen in this T rex bone most probably return to be a part of the researchers' skin not
