It is clear from the data that Nokia was the leader in terms of market share in 2005 and 2006 with a market share of 32.5% and 35% respectively.The three major players Nokia, Motorola and Samsung combinedly owned almost 75% of the total market in 2005 and 2006 outplayed all the other players by far behind.
A detailed view of the chart reveals that, the manufacturers like Sony, LG, BenQ only had a very small percentage of market share in both years. The BenQ mobile had least market share in both years of 2005 and 2006 which amounts to only 4.9% and 2.4% of the total market. Motorola's market share showed a considerable increase as compared to previous year figures followed by Nokia. In addition, there was decline in others market share also by 3% in 2006.
In conclusion, interestingly all the cellphone makers retained their market position during the mentioned period regardless of some fluctuations in their market share.
