The passage and the lecture are about the online communal encyclopedias which is one of the latest resources found on the internet and how they differ from the traditional encyclopedias. The lecture denies the passage which is mostly objecting the online encyclopedias and presents traditional communal encyclopedias to be better.
1st the lecturer states the point about the errors in traditional encyclopedias which remain unchanged for decades. As well she sites a general point that it is hardly any communal encyclopedia is found without errors on or offline. So it's not a point to say that online communal encyclopedias are more prejudiced
secondly, the lecture says about hacking, which is not easy for online communal encyclopedias as it is usually created by special editors in a form that no one can change. In the first place the correctness of communal encyclopedia is questioned. Hence it is a crucial factor to determine which is more reliable on or offline.
3rd doubt the lecturer casts is about the space. Traditional communal encyclopedias are limited in place so it contents only what can attract people. They include only what is important. That's not same with online encyclopedias. It emphasizes about the strong advantages of online encyclopedia to include more information as it has unlimited space.
