integrated essay TPO15
The reading illustrates theories about that the how to prevent the toad population to be increased. The professor contradicts these theories by theses strong evidence.
Firstly, in the reading, it is said that it would be good option to control the population of the toad using the building fence tp prevent them to move into preserved places. On the contrary, the lecture refutes the argument by stating that because of the other routs such as river, it is possible for young toad and theirs eggs to move other side of the fence and the proposed method is not effective.
Secondly, even though the reading claims that the toad population increases can be controlled by volunteers that have duty to capture and destroy the toad, the professor argues in the lecturer that these untrained volunteers may be have a trebble effect on the frog population that live in the same territory like as the toad. Therefore, this present a horrible idea for the frog populations in Australia.
Thirdly, the passage says that the toad poulation control has been done by means of the disease-causing virus. However, the professor mentions an opposing view that since the other animals in the other countries such as are in the danger of these virus while those animals are part of the the ecosystem in that countries. Therefore, it is not being a possible idea to prevent the toad population.
