In reading - writing 2 class on Tuesday 6th of March I learned about definition of paragraph. Paragraph is a group of sentences about a topic. About the appearance of formatting elements of the paragraph consist of title, indent, margin and double spacing. About the content, a paragraph consists of topic sentence, supporting sentences and concluding sentence. Topic sentence introduces the topic and shows briefly the main idea. Supporting sentences add information about the topic. Finally concluding sentence restates the main idea and may warn the readers, make a prediction and give an opinion about the topic. Then, my teacher required class to do exercises and write a paragraph to comprehend the lesson.
In that lesson I was really impressed by the way my teacher taught. She explained the lesson so clearly. My class was quiet and concentrated on the lesson. My friend was very kind, she helped me correct my paragraph. That is all I liked that day. On the other hand, there were something I disliked. My classroom was so hot and the outside was so noisy.
About my performance that day, I felt disappointed about myself. Although I concentrated on the lesson and my teacher explained so well, I couldnot still write a paragraph completely.
I think my main problems are vocabulary and description. I have shortage of vocabularies so I cannot express my idea as I think. Moreover, I usually come up with a new idea but I cannot descibe it coherently. Now, I have to learn more and more vocabularies and read many books to consult many writing styles so that I can develop my writing skills.
