The given illustrations presents the number of annual transactions including rentals and sales in various discipline of films such as rentals, VHS sales, DVD sales and blue-ray sales over the period of 9 years from 2002 until 2011.
Overall, It can be observed from the chart that blue ray and DVD have picked up from It's value over the 9 years period compared to initial values. However, rentals and VHS have gone down in number for the same period of time.
To begin, Initially the number of DVD sales was around 50,000 in the year 2002 while of the blue ray it was completely zero. After that, the following year, the value of DVD sales rose up sharply until 2005, but in regard to blue ray it is almost zero in value up to 2006.Then, while reaching in 2006 we can see steady growth in DVD sales reaching to 2007 the blue ray sales starts making it's pace a bit high from previous zero value. Finally, DVD sales starts decreasing slowly by small number up to 2011, conversely in blue ray sales, It linearly picked up to about 15000 in 2011.
On the other hand, rentals and VHS are initially in good number of almost 180,000 and 80,000 respectively in the year 2002 while moving on we can see that there has been small decrease in number up to in 2005. After that, the VHS sales becomes completely zero and rentals also does not stop declining it's value and ultimately reach value around 70000 in 20011.
