The Commercial airline industry in the country of Freedonia has experienced impressive growth in the past three years. This trend will surely continue in the years to come, since the airline industry will benefit from recent changes in Freedonian society:

The commercial airlines have benefitted from past 3 years and the author concludes that the same trend will continue for the coming years. The author assumes that the growth of the airline is attributed to the spending done by Freedonians. The conclusion may be based on many merits but due to lack of complete analysis, the conclusion given by the author is flawed in many ways.

To begin, the author assumes the Freedonians will spend their increased income on travelling and that too on flying. There is a possibility that the Freedonians would want to stay home or they do want to travel at all because of increasing personal expenditures. Even if they want to travel, they may prefer driving or use the train. Additionally, the author expects that the people of the society will watch tourist places on TV and will make plans to travel to those places, whereas the author failed to consider if the places shown on TV are too expensive or they are too dangerous or the people who are watching, have already visited those places. None of these concerns has been addressed. As it stands, however, the argument is flawed for the reasons indicated.

To sum up, the author makes several unwarranted assumptions, it fails to make a convincing case for the growth of the commercial airline industry.
