the best way for a society to prepare its young people for leadership in government, industry, or other fields is by instilling in them a sense of cooperation, not competition
The statement says that we should teach our people a sense of cooperation and not competition. I more or less agree with the topic, Cooperation, working together is an essential feature for society, without it a society wouldn't even exist, but a sense of competition is also necessary to continuous development of society.
first, cooperating with each other increase the overall productivity and reduce time one would need to achieve its goal, this methods is employed in every industry nowadays. Peoples were devided into set of groups to work together and a goal is set by them which they have to complete in a given time limit. This process also insure that a employee did not feel didactic during its work, It will make them productive through out the project.
When people started working together they started trusting each other, this trust is necessary for a person around its vicinity so that he feels secure and maintain a positive aura around himself. This process reduce the conflicts within a group and inferiority complex and let new ideas flow freely.
People generally prefer those leaders who are not condescending and treat the other people like their comrade - for ex, in India politics people treat their leader as their elder brother and refer them by the name. This fellowship increase the cooperation within a group and and make them work together to achieve the same goal.
But, a sense of competition should be there because this is what drives people to achieve something never achieved before and put new standards for society to achieve, competition is not always negative, there can be a healthy competition between 2 team members, which ultimately result in development of the worker and the work itself ,thus raise the performance level.
Finally, we can conclude that society must instill a sense of cooperation, because this is what helps society to develop all together in every sector they have and provide a sense of serenity to all its member. But, a space for competition should be there, because competition drives people to perform better and put further new standards for other people
