Educators should take students' interests into account when planning the content of the courses they teach.
For planning the content of the courses certain key factors should be taken into account by educators that paying attention to student’s interests is one of them. Students should be attracted by institutions through courses that are related to their interests. Therefore, considering student’s interests is one of certain elements to tempt students to continue their education at higher academic level.
There are some courses that have few fans because of lack of appropriate content little by little these courses will be omitted by students while the government spend budget on absorbing scholars. For instance, the major of history is one of the most important courses that should be investigated by scholars while the most proportion of students does not like to select this course. The content of this course is very boring and its educators do not pay attention to student’s interests when they wanted to render this course. The educators could plan the content of the course by adopting decent strategy in order to attract more students. They could gather information about student’s comments on how the educators should categorize historic events and increase its attractiveness.
Furthermore, there are certain courses that inter-playing of student’s comments on planning the content of them makes significant contribution to reinforce the content of course. For instance, although social human courses have certain resources and contents, considering the student’s interests to plan the content of these kinds of courses play important role in order to increase the level of awareness of students. The most proportion of students who study social majors are interested by listening to experience of veteran persons while their educators enforce them to study certain books with grandiloquent words.
On the other hands, there are specific courses that need certain resources and their educators should use special data when planning the content of the courses they teach. For instance, basic science like physics and mathematical have special content and it is more likely that paying attention to student’s interests make an irreversible damage. These kinds of courses are planning in a persuasive way and have its own laws when their educators want to choose their contents. If the educators consider the interests of their students little by little the stance of these majors will be changed and their basic components will be forgotten by researchers and scholars.
In conclusion, although there are specific methods to plan the content of courses and the educators should follow them, taking the interest of students into account make a significant contribution to enrich the content of courses. Students are involved with their courses during their education life and they have significant role to enforce their courses by their research so if they do not like their courses, they would not be able to enrich their majors.
