Others believe that the most essential quality of an effective leader is the ability to remain consistently committed to particular principles and objectives.

In the Wisdom of Crowds by James Surowiecki, the writer arques that on average, the majority is usually right. However, I am more closely aligned with the second school of thought that an effective leader must be consistent.
