Topic -Governments should focus on solving the immediate problems of today rather than on trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.

Yesterday was history, tomorrow is future and today is present. So we call it as Present. Whatever is in our hand is today. If we try to make our today best, our tomorrow will be definetely best. So focusing on present is important for tomorrow. So government should focus on solving today's problem at priority rather than focusing more on anticipated problems of future.

If government try to solve the immediate problems of today then it would be easy for tomorrow. For example, In India, today in so many regions there is severe problem of water. If government would solve this problem by implementing some schemes then it would be very much useful for people living there. If government would issue a scheme under which preservation of running rain water, forests, more tree plantations would be implemented then that would solve the problem of today.

But there are some situations in which government needs to think about the anticipated future problems. For example, natural calamities, such as flood, earthquake etc. These problems are unpredictable and government should keep itself ready to face or handle these problems if those occur. It should have capability to handle the situation in those circumstances. So to get this capability he needs to focus on such problems also.

Again today the whole world is facing the problem of Global warming. But today it is not much severe. But up to whatever extent we are facing it, the reason for that is our past activities and lack of concern for the future implecations of that. So if we do not learn from our past mistakes and continued to do the same then it would not take time to become that problem worse. So if we want to reduce this or not to grow, then first we need to concentrate on our today. But while solving today's problem we need to take in consideration that this should not create any severe problem for tomorrow. While doing this we should also think of possible problems it would create and solutions for them.

Ultimately government should concentrate on today more but parallel to that it should also focus on its possible tomorrow. If government try to solve the today's problem while keeping in mind that it should not be harm the tomorrow then that would be the best. But if it focus solely on today without any concern for tomorrow then we wil be repeating the same mistake. So it should do both the things simultaneously, but priority should be today first.
