Leader in any organization or institution is elected in the hopes that they will bring prosperity and elevate the life conditions of people that put the leaders in position. A country's leader is also the representative and the face of the country in which they serve. Hence, the question of evaluating a country's condition and measuring the efficacy of an leader are intricately related to each other. The prompt claim that in order to measure the effectiveness of a nation's leader the best metric is to examing the well-being of its denizens. I mostly agree to the above position for two main reasons, which I will elucidate below. However, I do concede that there can be other factors that can reason with the effectiveness of a leader.

To begin, a leaders primary job is bring development, harmory, equality, etc. in the nation which they are part of and thus the well being of the citizens is a cruzial factor that can be used to evaluate a leader's position. Most of the famous leaders in the history have one common thing that have brought fame to them and that factors is how they contributed to the well-being of the country's citizens. For eg, Mahatma Gandhi who is consider as the "Father of the Nation of India" has rightfully earned the title as he dedicated his life to free India from the cluches of colonizism. Similar, Sir Martin Luther King Jr fought for equal rights for the all the people in the country. Thus, this two great individual are the paradigmatic example of how the leader's effectiveness is linked to the prosperity of the citizens

Secondly, leaders are selected by the people in the hopes that the leader will present their wishes to the society and will contribute to raise the day to day condition of their lives. Thus, when a leader serves with their best of their ability to work towards the upliftment of the people's conditions who selected them, it is consider to be important factor in determing their position in the next election. Thus, as leader represent the people who selected them, it is important that leader serves to live upto the standard people have hoped for them.

Lastly, factors other that well-being of the people also can contribute towards or degrage the name of an leader. Like for eg. although Atal Bihari servered as India's Prime Ministry position for a relativily shorter time, his work towards making India a super power justifies his name in the book of effective leaders. Likely, a deleterious work done by a leader even if in the hopes of alleviating the condition of the people of the nation, severily defers the reputation of that leader as well as the nation. Hence, we can say that few other factors can also contribute to the effectiveness of a leader.

In conclusion, as is stands today we can conclude that well-being of the citizens plays a important roles to determine the effectiveness of the leader, while a few other factors can also play the role of shifting the position.
