The respective bar graphs provide data about American people’s marital status. Fortunately, as figures illustrate marriage rates had been higher than other status.
The first graph shows that there is a declining pattern in marriage numbers from the year 1970 up to year 2000. Furthermore, the number of people who got married in year 1979 and 1980 are approximately the same. However, the maximum rate of divorce is related to the year 1980, and population of divorce has been constant in the year 1970 and 2000. Although, figure illustrates that, there is an increasing slope from 1970 to 1980. But it descends after the 1980 to reach to 0.5 million people by the year 2000.
The second graph, shows that the proportion of marriage in both years (1970 and 2000) had the first place among other status. Also, the number of married and widowed people in 1970 were higher than the year 2000, and the people who never married and also divorced people in the year 2000 were higher than the year 1970.
