The charts below give information on the ages of the populations of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and projection for 2050.

The pie charts compare the populations in three different groups of ages in two countries from 2000 to 2050.

It is clear that the number of people in the Yemen and Italy of 15-59 years were highest than other groups in 2000 and 2050. In Yemen, the lowest number of people was elder people (over 60 years), yet in Italy, was the ages below 14 years.

In 2000, the ages less than 14 years account for half of populations in Yemen, while only nearly 15% in Italy. The percentage of 15-59 years roughly 47% was noticeable lower than same group in Italy, about 62%. The ages over the 60 years, represented 3.6% and 24.1% in Yemen and Italy respectively.

By 2050, the number of 15 to 59 years will expected to more over the half of the populations and Italy will predicted to 46.2%, while the ages under 14 years in Yemen and Italy will be 37% and 11.5% respectively. Around 43% of the Italian population will be 60 years old or more and significantly larger than Yemen.
