The charts below show the quantity of the Japanese tourist travelling abroad and Australia's share of Japanese tourist market between 1985 and 1995.
From the first table it is clearly visible that the number of Japanese tourists has regularly increased from 5 to 11 millions during 6 years. But there was a little fluctuation, to be more precise, the height of showing the amount of travellers in 1991 has slightly decreased. Since 1992 the Japanese tourists again became active in travelling abroad and it continues till 1995 when their number reached 15 millions.
The second diagram helps us to see the percentage of tourists from Japan who choose to visit Australia. It can be claimed that Australia's share of Japanese tourist market has risen mostly but there were fluctuations in 1989 and 1994.
To sum up, the information shows that although the number of Japanese tourists increased since 1993 most of them prefer other places for travelling instead of Australia.
