Given are the diagrams which illustrate silkworms’ life cycle and the process of silk cloth production. It can be clearly seen, lifecycle of silkworms consists of 4 stages, while silk clothes are produced in 5 steps.
According to the first diagram, at first stage, eggs put by butterflies turn into silk larva in 10 days. Then, silkworms that are fed with mulberry leaves produce silk threads during 4-6 weeks. After that, silkworm larva enters into cocoon stage in upcoming 3-8 days and grows into moth again in 16 days. It is worth to note, described stages occur over and over again.
