The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Given are the diagrams, that provide detailed illustration of cement making process and the role which cement plays when producing concrete.
At first glance, there are five stages in the cement production which begins with crushing limestone and clay that turn into powder as a result of this stage. Then, the powder which is mixed enters into the rotating heater. This stage is followed by pouring solution onto grinder, the device which turns initial elements into cement. Consequently, the whole process ends with the packing of the cement in standard bags.
When it comes to the concrete production, this manufacturing is carried out with the aid of concrete mixer which rotates clockwise together with the proper ingredients in it. According to second diagram, it can be easily noticed that those ingredients are formed by cement (15%), water (10%), sand (25%) and gravel (50%).
To summarize, these processes are closely related to each other, because cement constitutes one of the elements of the concrete production.
