The chart below shows the amount of money per week spent on fast foods in Britain. The graph shows the trends in consumption of fast foods.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.

The chart below gives information about how much money is spent on fast foods every week in Britain. The amount of fast foods is divided here for 3 levels of income of people – high, average and low.
It’s clear from the chart that, as the level of income decreases, the amount of fast foods is also reducing. Hamburgers are the most common fast food for all 3 levels of income with about 40%, 30% and 15% respectively. However, the fish and chips, also pizzas are less common fast foods for people with the percentages of between 7-25%.
And the trends of the consumption of these fast foods in the period of time between 1970 and 1990 are also shown and all of them presented upward except the fish and chips trend. From the graph, we can observe that the amount of hamburgers has grown from just under 100 to over 500. While, there is also a noticeable rise in the amount of pizza from about 30 to nearly 300 in this period. However, in amount of fish and chips, there is a steady decrease.
From this evidences we can conclude that, hamburgers are the best fast food for people.
