Some people believe that there should be fixed punishments for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
When criminality is happened, some people say that law enforcer have to think again about the reasons for committing it. While it can be accepted, I could argue that whatever motivation behind it, criminal will be punished base on the law.
The motivation for doing crime is sometimes not pure from offender’s intention. It can be come from other person or people then force the offenders to commit wrongdoing. For the situation like that, law enforcers maybe taken into account before giving penalty to the offenders. The offenders also have to prove to the law enforcers if they commit that crime when they were under pressure and do not have any choice except doing it. Another reason for committing crime is criminal’s circle which support him to do it. For example, actually they never have purpose to commit delinquency, but people around them often commit it. Finally they are influenced and become accustomed to do crime, because their minds are dark and do not care anymore about punishment which is waiting for them.
On the other hand, I believe that law enforcers or polices have prepared sentences wisely and it is suitable with the crime that have been done. If there are culprits say that they commit misconduct because they are in unlucky circumstances and there are several reasons behind its misconduct, it might be only their way to protect themselves. Although they are forced to commit it, but indirectly they accept order to do illegal behavior without fighting the people who are asking them to do it. It means that they have committed crime. So, the law enforcers are be able to give retribution which they deserve whatever the reasons behind its criminality, because I am sure that law enforcers have determined system for judging culprit wisely.
For the reasons mentioned above, it seems to me that whatever the motivation to commit vice, the culprit should be punished base on the law.
