Some people say that success is ’10 percent talent and 90 percent hard work’
Is hard work the key to success, or is talent also important?
Everyone wishes to become successful people in their life. Some of them reach success, but the other people cannot, it is rely on their effort. While hard work is the most necessary, natural ability also makes people having big chance to become successful.
We often hear the quote ‘Practice makes perfect’, which means that if we want to be the best, we must practice hard. It is exactly true because most successful people’s secrets are always try and never give up. No matter how often they fail, they never stop to try until they success. James Watt, for example, his hard work brought him to gain success through his greatest invention: lamp.
On the other hand, in my view, talent is God-given, which merely few people have it. So, it is lucky for person who has natural ability, because this is more easily for them to success. Commonly, most of talented people who become success have carrier in Art, like singing or playing instrument.
Beside hard work and talent, there are supporting things which help to be success. People who have money can buy things that support their work and spend more money for their education. Moreover, living in good environment supports their desire to achieve their goals.
To sum up, work hard, talent, money, and good environment contribute someone to be successful people. However, I believe that the most essential thing that people need to prove success is working hard.
