The chart below illustrates the total number of minutes in billion of telephone calls during 1995-2002 in the UK in three categories: local, national or international and mobile calls.

Local call was always at first rank in comparing of other types. During these years the trend was more than 70 minutes and reached its highest usage in 1999 at 90 minutes. Second type of call is national and international calls. This type has increased and met more than 60 minutes in 2002, but totally it is half of local calls. At last there is the third type, mobiles, which reached from less than 10 to more than 40 minutes in other word it has rose up 4 times.

To sum up, year after year the difference between these 3 types has declined and 2002 their difference is just about 10 minutes. In addition, only the usage of local calls has a decreasing trend after the year of 1999.
