These two bar charts show about the number of US honey bee communities that has degradation trend and it causes reduction of US honey production. Figures are given from 1970 to 2010.
It is clear from the charts that figures for US honey bee communities had declined in every ten years between 1990 and 2010. The average of reduction was from 5 to 10 millions. Eventhough there was an exception between 1970 and 1980 which had growth approximately 4.3 millions. Overall the contructions caused the number of US honey bee societies remained until under 2 millions.
In accordance with the declining of US honey bee communities, the US honey production had same trend which was between 1970 until 1980, the production had declining almost 20.000 tonnes. However, in the next ten years there was an increasing around 10.000 tonnes. After that, From 1990 to 2010, every ten years, the declining was happened gradually. The First term was 20.000 tonnes and the next was 30.000 tonnes, until remained just 70.000 tonnes in 2010.
Overall, decreasing of US honey bee societies was one of the reason why decreasing of US honey production was happened.
