This map shows us about 4 periods of development in Charleywood. The first period happened in 1868 to 1883, the population began to settle on the right side of main roads and located nearby Chorleywood Park. The second period started between 1883 to 1922 which have been spread almost double. In this period, the population settled around Chorleywood Station which was built in 1909. In third period, the population of Chorleywood continued to grow on the right side of the railway from 1922 until 1970. And the last period which began in 1970 until 1994, the population of the village improved greatly and settled around the Motorway which was established in 1970.
Comparing to the first period, the last period showed us a lot of improvement in Chorleywood’s population as well as some of new facilities were built in that village.
