The charts below show the total number of applicants the year before and the year after Doolittle University’s social media advertising campaign, organized by age range and how close the applicants live to the university.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
You should write at least 150 words.
Charts represent change in number of applicants in Doolittle university with respect to age groups and inhabitance proximity of applicants before and after they ran a social media advertising campaign.
University's social media advertisment campaign gained postive effect within 100 km range of the university campus. Each age group saw surge in number of applicants when 100 km range was taken into account. In this range, university received greatest increase in applicants from 40+ age group and lowest increase in applicants from 23-29 age group. On the other hand, when range of applicants residence was widened (i.e. greater than 100km) then university accumulated mixed effect from advertisment campaign. Number of applicants from some of age group saw considerable surge while others plummeted as well.
Age group that saw increase in both proximity range were 18-22 and 40+ age group. In these age group 18-22 age group saw increase from 180 to 320 when students outside of 100 km were considered and 40+ age group saw rise from 10 to 60 applicants when proximity was within 100 km range.
