Within a week, married men who have no children spend nearly 20 hours doing housework, which is the same as men who have one to two children. By contrast, men with 3 or more children spend less time childcaring, house working or gardening, which are about 17 hours per week.
Turning to women's unpaid working hours, married ones with no child spend 30 hours, only 10 hours higher than married men. However, when they have 1 or 2 children, they have to sacrifice more than 50 hours per week doing household chores. When these women have 3 or more children, the figure surges to 60 hours per week, that triple the average working hours of men with the same condition.
