The chart illustrates percentage changes of prices, in five main cities, from 1989. There are two parts of average prices: between 1990-1995 and between 1996-2002 years.
In details, the first part of chart show that in New York, London and Tokyo prices declined by 5% and more. But after 1995 year they increased prices exept London. For New York and Tokyo prices doubled and increased by 10%. Then it was around 5% instead of -5% compared with the average price in 1989.
Unfortunately, we can see the prices of Tokyo increased by only approximately 2,5% and was -5%.
However, the capital of Spain has stable rise in average house price in all 12 years. In the first part price pose by 2% and in the second part has also a rise by 4% compared with a 1989 year.
In addition prices in Frankfurt climed in both two years, but if we corpure prices between the first and the second parts, we can see that there was a fall by 1%.
The price of houses in London increased wildly. In years between 1990 and 1995 the average prices were less than in 1989 by 7,5% but after 1995 was gradually rise by 18,5% and stabilized at 11% compared with the 1989.
It is noticeable that in all cities were rises in average prices in 12 years. When compared to prices of 1989 and 1990-1995 years, we can see that in three cities had drop in prices and in 1996-2002 cities increased their prices exept Tokyo. London was the city that had the largest variation in house prices among all five cities.
