The given graph illustrates how many students whose houses were or were not in the UK studied Computer Science from 2010 to 2012.
As can be seen from the chart, the British home students outnumbered the oversea countries' learners in the period of three years. Meanwhile, the gap recorded in the number of female students was bigger than the figure for male students.
The number of male local students was about two times the figure for the abroad ones of the same gender in 2010. The similar patterns were seen in the number of girls studying Computer Science in 2010 and 2011. In addition, while the number of female abroad learners witnessed a slight increase from 15 students to 20 students, the figure for native ones grew sharply by 15 people and reached the top at 45 students in 2012.
In 2011, there was a steep fall from 40 students to 25 students in the number of local learners. By contrast, a moderate growth of 3 people was recorded in the figure for the other kind of learners. The numbers of both local and abroad men learning Computer Science underwent dramatic changes of 21 and 20 people respectively in 2012. Therefore the gap between the numbers of the two kinds of learners stayed unchanged.
