The bar chart gives information about the amount of kilometers that British who commute by five diverse sorts of transports in the years of 1990 and 2000.
Overall, the initial impressive from the chart is the total proportion of kilometers travelling by the nation’s citizens experienced an upward trend. Besides, the majority of residents opted bus and rail as favorable means of commuting in comparison with the remaining modes of transport.
In 1990, bus dominated the amount of kilometers travelled around 40 billion while that of rail was slightly lover with 38 billion of passenger kilometers. Over following ten years, the figure for both these kinds of vehicles increased to reach equivalence amount with 42 billion for bus and 41 billion for traveler kilometers of rail.
Apart from those, there was a relatively growth in the number of air kilometers from 5 or lower billion in 1990 to around 6 or 7 billion in 2000. With respect to bicycle and bike, both of which witnessed a downward trend in period of 10 years by 4 or even smaller and around 6 billion respectively.
