The given bar chart illustrates the distance traveled by the UK denizen using 5 different types of transportation between 1990 and 2000.

Overall, it is expected that bicycle and motorbike travel will increase totally. Bus and rail were the two most main types of transport in the 10-year period.

In 1990, the total passenger-kilometers started at 100 billion kilometers and rose to over 110 billion kilometers after 10 years. Particularly, bus and rail traveling accounted for the largest distance, at 45 and 40 billion kilometers respectively in 1990. Both experienced an upward trend to roughly 50 billion kilometers in the next 10 years.

By contrast, the distance covered by each of means of transport, namely bicycle, motorbike, and air were modest with just under 8 billion kilometers in the first year.
