The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010.
The provided bar chart illustrates the proportion of Aussie in both genders and various age groups who exercised regularly in 2010.
At the first glance, it is evident that the higher percentage of females did physical activity than males that year. While, the participation of 15 to 24 year olds males was the highest of six age groups and the largest proportion of females recorded in 45 to 54 year olds.
It is apparent to note that people aged 15 to 24, 52.8% of males did physical activity which exceeded 5.1% that of females in 2010. However, the former declined to 39.5% in 35 to 44 year-old and the latter showed a slight increase to 52.5%.
With regards to the largest percentage of females did physical activity about 53% of people in 45 to 54 and 55 to 64 year olds. Whilst, the figure of males was significantly lower with 43.1% and 45.1% respectively. Besides that, both female and male participations aged 65 and over was nearly equal, at roughly 47% each.
