The bar chart below shows the percentage of government spending on roads and transport in 4 countries in the years 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005.
The chart gives information about the investment of the government in road and transports in four different countries in 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2005.
Looking from an overall perspective, the Portugal government was responsible for the highest spending on infrastructure thought its figure followed a significant sink throughout the time frame.
As the chart portrays, there was a correlation between the figure of Italy and the UK when they both declined for the first term, those figures then reached the highest level before bottoming in the last year. During that process, they remained their distance by 10-15%.
On the other hand, road and transports in Portugal, which was spent approximately 26% initially, dropped its ratio to finish the study at precisely 20%. Meanwhile, the outlay for infrastructure in the USA contributed 11% of total expenditure in 1990, followed by a trivial fall to 10% then fluctuated upward to 15% in 2005. Despite being the only country whose proportion rose in the last examined year, Portugal still kept the third position in the research.
