The bar chart below illustrates the amount of electricity generation and utilization in ten countries in 2014. Overall, it can be seen that China was on the first place, where Korea Rep. was on the last place. Furthermore, Germany was the only country that consumed electricity more than produced it.

China was on the first place, with quite similar amount in production and consumption, at 5398 billion kWh and 5322 billion kWh, respectively. Following China, there was United States, that generated 4099 billion kWh while utilized 3866 billion kWh. After United States, there stood Russia on the third place, where the amount of generation and usage also does not differ significantly, at 1057 billion kWh and 1038 billion kWh, respectively. Furthermore, Japan produced 936.2 billion kWh while used 856.7 billion kWh, made them stood at the fourth place. Following Japan was India, that generated 871 billion kWh while only used 698.8 billion kWh. Canada was on the sixth place, with amount generated at 618.9 billion kWh and utilized 499.9 billion kWh electricity.

France, Brazil, and Germany had similar amount of electricity generation and usage, ranging from around 450 billion kWh to approximately 560 billion kWh. France was the highest among them, with the electricity production at 561.2 billion kWh and electricity usage at 462.9 billion kWh. Following France, there was Brazil, that generated 530.7 billion kWh electricity while utilized 455.8 billion kWh. After that there was Germany, with production amount at 526.6 billion kWh while used 582.5 billion kWh. This made Germany as the only country that has consumption amount exceeded its generation amount. At the last place was Korea Rep that produced 485.1 billion kWh while only used 449.5 billion kWh.
