Additionally, the annual expenses on women's clothes consistently had the highest figures of all surveyed categories throughout the period
From the value of nearly $500 per person in 2005, there was initially a rise of $200 to reach around $700 in the annual expenditure for women's clothes between 1985 and 2005, ranking first among all examined spendings. Similar changes, but to a lesser extent, were seen in the data for men's clothes, which was $250 in 1985, after which it experienced a thrive to approximately $430 in 1995 before witnessing a drop of $30 to conclude at $400 in 2005.
